Paprika 3 vs Paprika 4: what changes
Paprika 4 opened to all current users as a beta on September 28, 2026. It installs over Paprika 3 as a free upgrade. According to Paprika’s FAQ, existing users keep everything Paprika 3 does, including sync, without new fees. The new features need a subscription once the beta ends.
That subscription will cover all platforms with one payment, which removes the per-device cost for new features. Paprika says the price will “most likely be a (reasonable) annual fee with a discount for existing users,” but has not set it, and has not announced a release date.

Frequently asked questions
Not on iPhone, iPad or Mac: there is no free or trial version there. On Android the download is free but holds only 50 recipes and has no sync until you unlock the full app. The Windows trial also holds 50 recipes with no sync. (Checked October 28, 2026.)
Paprika 3 costs $4.99 on iPhone and iPad, $4.99 on Android, $29.99 on Mac and $29.99 on Windows (US prices). Each is a one-time purchase for that platform only, so an iPhone plus a Mac costs $34.98, and all four cost $69.96.
No. The iOS app is universal, so one purchase covers iPhone and iPad. Mac, Android and Windows are separate purchases, and a license for one platform does not transfer to another.
Paprika 3 has none, including for cloud sync. Paprika 4, in open beta since September 28, 2026, will sell its new features as one yearly subscription that covers all platforms. Paprika says the price is not final. Existing users get the Paprika 4 app as a free upgrade and keep everything Paprika 3 does without paying again.
Yes, it is included with the purchase and syncs iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android and Windows together. It needs a separate Paprika account (it does not use iCloud). The free Android version and the Windows trial do not include sync.
Not in Paprika 3: it has no dedicated social media import, and it is the most common complaint in recent App Store reviews. Paprika 4 adds saving from TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube as a premium feature that reads the post’s caption or description.
No. Paprika runs as an app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android and Windows. Its bookmarklet can save a recipe from any browser into your Paprika cloud account, but you cannot browse or cook from your recipes in a web browser.
In both 2024 and 2025, Paprika held a Thanksgiving sale in November: $2.99 on iOS and Android, $14.99 on Mac and Windows. Paprika has not announced a 2026 sale.
