Yes. Recipe Notes has a free forever plan with unlimited recipes, cloud backup, and the full core app. Pro is only for users who want to go beyond the free-plan limits (categories, imports per day, meal planning, etc.).
Yes — every Pro and Family plan includes a 7-day free trial. You can cancel any time during the trial and you won't be charged.
One Family subscription unlocks Pro for up to 6 people total (you + 5 invited members). Members join via an invite link inside the app — they don't need to share an Apple ID or set up Apple Family Sharing. The Family plan works across iPhone, iPad, and Android, so mixed-device households are fully supported. Monthly and Annual Family plans include exactly the same features — Annual is just cheaper per month.

You can cancel any time from your device settings — iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Recipe Notes. Android (coming soon): Play Store → Subscriptions → Recipe Notes. Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period.
