Whiskey Flip

A rich and creamy classic cocktail made with whiskey, whole egg, and superfine sugar, optionally enriched with heavy cream. This smooth drink is finished with a fragrant dusting of freshly grated nutmeg.

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces whiskey
  • 1 whole whole egg
  • 1 teaspoon superfine sugar
  • 2 teaspoons heavy cream
  • ½ cup crushed ice
  • 1 pinch nutmeg

Cooking Instructions

    Combine all ingredients except the nutmeg in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a 5-ounce stemmed glass, and grate a little nutmeg on top.
