Tuscan Tuna-and-Bean Sandwiches

  • 1 can cannellini beans
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

  • 2 tablespoons fresh flat-leaf parsley or basil

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cans Italian tuna in oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil or flat-leaf parsley
  • ¼ cup pitted Kalamata olives
  • 1 rib celery
  • 2 tablespoons red onion
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 slices rustic Italian bread
  • 1 cup watercress sprigs
