Hibiscus Agua Fresca

A refreshing Mexican-inspired drink made with hibiscus flowers and fresh ginger, perfectly sweetened and served over ice. This vibrant beverage offers a delightful balance of floral and spicy notes.

Ingredients

  • •1 piece fresh ginger
  • •1⅓ cups hibiscus flowers
  • •¾ cup sugar

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1.

    Peel and thinly slice fresh ginger. Combine ginger, hibiscus flowers, and 3 cups boiling water in a medium pot. Let steep at room temperature for 30 minutes. Strain into a large pitcher, discarding solids. Add sugar; stir until dissolved. Add 8 cups cold water. Fill glasses with ice; pour agua fresca over and serve. DO AHEAD: Can be made 3 days ahead. Cover and chill.
