- •1 whole yellow onion

- •2 containers whole peeled tomatoes
- •2 tablespoons tomato paste
- •1 whole bay leaf
- •1 teaspoon dried oregano
- •½ cup fresh basil
- •½ teaspoon salt
- •⅛ teaspoon freshly cracked pepper
