Garlicky Runner Beans

Crisp-tender runner beans sautéed with golden garlic and red pepper flakes, finished with a bright squeeze of lemon. A perfect side dish that combines fresh vegetables with Mediterranean flavors.

Ingredients

  • •¼ cup olive oil
  • •4 cloves garlic
  • •1½ pounds runner beans
  • •1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • •to taste kosher salt and pepper
  • •1 whole lemon

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1.

    Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and cook, stirring, until golden, about 2 minutes. Add beans and red pepper flakes; season with salt and pepper and toss to coat. Cook, tossing occasionally, until beans are crisp-tender and lightly browned, 8-10 minutes. Transfer beans to a platter and squeeze lemon over.
